ABOUT MADISON:

Search and Rescue – FEMA

“Madi came to me on the 12th of December of 1998. By a chance encounter at a general obedience class we met a local Search Dog Team member who planted a seed. That, with a lot of perseverance, paid off in our certification as a FEMA Type 1 Advanced Disaster Search Team in February of 2002. We were Type 2 Basic for the 9/11 attacks, but we were not called up. Madi also trained for her Wilderness Certification.

Madi was a real sweetheart that went 200mph all the time. There was no medium or slow, only real fast. A daily swim kept her in top shape. She trained on average 35-40 hours a month. Madison was a wonderful dog who opened up a whole new world to me in Search and Rescue. Because of her I have found a special way to give back to my fellow man.”
