Luka, an Andean bear cub was born on January 3, 2013 at the Phoenix Zoo where she joined an international species-survival program. Andean bears are the smallest of bears and are rare in zoos and are losing habitat in their native forests in South America. Seldom are they born in captivity. Luka was a special one!
