LADY BLUE

As a kid, growing up in a small town in Ohio, I cherished our trips to the Toledo Zoo. It was a very special family day out, picnic included. Upon entering the zoo, the first animal to see was always the flamingos. I remember standing in awww of their stature and beautiful colors. I met “Lady Blue” in January of 2025 at the Phoenix Zoo to prepare for an exhibit at the Zoo’s Wild Side Gallery. I combined my newfound love of using a palate knife, in the background, along with my signature style for painting animals.
