Amber

This is a message I received from Amber’s human mom:

“I lost a very close friend to cancer a few days before this Christmas.

I tell you this because my close friend originally wanted to adopt Amber, for she was found in a kill lot at two years old. My friend decided that she could not adopt Amber at that time, so I adopted her and told my friend she was Amber’s other mom, lol. I have been around horses my whole life but did not have any experience with Clydesdales. As we have discovered, they are very sensitive, they get their feelings hurt if you raise your voice, they love to snuggle and all they want to do is please you. She will rest her giant head on you and loves to wrap her body around you as if to give you a big hug.

My friend came over often to spoil her and love on her. When I opened the box of Amber’s portrait, I wanted to show my friend so much, for I know she would have
loved it!

As we have discovered Amber seems to know when people are hurting. A friend’s
wife had to have her lower leg amputated and went into a deep depression. They
came over in hopes of cheering her up. She laughed and smiled for two hours, which gave me great joy seeing the love Amber has for people.

I know this is a lot of information, but I wanted to share how much this portrait means to me, and how special Amber is.
