This gentle canine was surrendered to a shelter when her owners moved. She was timid, shy and received extra attention from the staff to improve her social skills. Her charms soon emerged and she was adopted by a wonderful family, and now she rides in this classic car. 

When Ron does a commission for someone, he paints the exact likeness of the specific dog, however when painting a canine in a car, Ron uses his freedom to explore capturing the shear spirit and enthusiasm that our canines show for their love to go for a ride.

Ron goes to as many vintage vehicle shows as his time allows, often traveling around town with his camera in tow, just in case the right vehicle catches his eye.  For “Luv at the Wheel” he found the image of an old Chevy that he had photographed years ago while visiting friends near his hometown. Ron takes pride in capturing the true essence of chrome as he did in this piece that focuses on the hood ornament.
